FLOYD E. FARRIER DIED HERE SUNDAY

FUNERAL TUESDAY

Floyd Farrier took his life Sunday according to the opinion of the coroner who was called when the body was found near the home of Mrs. Anna Farrier in whose house the family had lived since last Fall, and where he had stayed since their farm home burned about a week ago.

A series of misfortunes couple with ill health are recognized as the probable causes of his death.

Funeral services were conducted from the Christian church Tuesday afternoon by its pastor, R. W. Fillmore. Burial was in Hillcrest cemetery.

The following obituary was read at the service.

Floyd Eugene Farrier was born near Washington February 21, 1894. He was the son of Rachel Riley and Willis Farrier, both of whom are deceased. On December 16th 1926 he was married to Francelia Dickinson in Washington. They became the parents of six children who are; Keith, 17; Kenneth, 15; Kermit, 13; Karel, 11; Donna, 8; and Judy Ann who died in infancy.

Floyd had lived most of his life in Washington county. From July 17, 1917 until December 26, 1918 he served in the United States army and was a member of Edgar C. Davis Post No. 212 of the American Legion. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Lodge No. --- in Brighton.

Floyd has been in poor health for several months.

He is survived by his widow and five children, and by scores of friends and relatives, who will miss him, for he was well liked by all who knew him.

The pallbearers were Dave --- Neese, George Statler, E. L. Edmondson, Ira Stout, Max McClintic and Bryan Morgan.
