Daniel Louis Nolan was born April 1, 1943 in Guthrie Center, Iowa the son of James and Dorothy (Clark) Nolan. He graduated from Panora High School in 1961.
He served in the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany.
He lived in Guthrie Center, Panora, Kinross and Wellman where he worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Daniel died on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at his home in Wellman following a brief illness at the age of 65 years.
Daniel is survived by a daughter - Deana Cobb of Wellman; 2 sons - Danny Nolan, Jr. Of Guthrie Center; James Nolan of Dallas, Texas; 12 grandchildren; his mother - Dorothy Nolan of Ogden; 3 sisters - Dixie Carr of Des Moines; Juanita Bullard of Wellman; Susan Anthoney of Ogden; and 3 brothers - Ramon Nolan of Wellman; Nicholas Nolan of Redfield; and Curtis Nolan of Des Moines. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers - Donavan and Jerome. The family will greet friends from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at the North Park in Wellman. A graveside service will be held at a later date at the Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Guthrie Center. The Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Wellman is in charge of the arrangements.
