Steling Stoltzfus, 82
Celebration of life service for Serling W. Stoltzfus, 82, Kalona willl be held at 11 a.m.
Thursday, 10 April 2008 at the Kalona Mennonite Church.
He died Teusday, 8 April 2008, at Pleasantview Home, Kalona, following a long illness.
The Rev. Scott Swartzendruber & the Rev. Mick Murray will aofficiate the service.
Special music and there will be a men's quartet. Musical selections will include "Amazing Grace", " the Old Rugged Cross, " "When the roll is called up Yonder" and "Just as I am".
Private family burial will be held in the Sharon hill cemetery before the funeral service.
Casket bearers will be Jeff Boller, Jason Wyse, Barnaby Wyse, Kein King, Kenton Stoltzfus, Nick Croyle & Ian Croyle.
Memorials may be made to the Mennonite Board of Mission and the Iowa City Hospice.
Yoder - Powell Funeral Home and Cremations Service, Kalona is in charge of arrangements.

Sterling William Stoltzfus was born 7 Apr 1926 in Wood River, Neb., the son of John and Laura (Beckler) Stoltzfus. He grew up in Nebraska and moved to Iowa with his family at age 13.
He married Myrtle Sutter 19 Oct 1947, in Milford, Neb. The lived in Iowa where he farmed for 10 years, the owned & operated Sterling's Feed and Seed in Williamsburg for 17 years.
In 1974 , the moved to ohio, wher he owned and operated Phil's flowers and Fruit for 15 years. They retired & moved to Kalona in 1990.
He was active in teh Mennonite churches, where he served as Sunday school superintendent, taught Sunday school and served as a sponsor for the youth group.
Stoltzfus is survived by his wife; five children and their spouses. Ruth & James Boller, Kalona; Donna & Larry Wyse and Jane & Jim Kine, all of Archbold, Ohio; Phillip & Cherilee Stoltzfus, Inola, Okla., and Barb & Gary Graber, New Paris, Ind; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, three brothers, Elmer Stoltzfus, Kalona; Richard Stoltzfus, Johnstown, Colo., and John Stoltzfus Jr, Goshen, Ind. and two sisters, Grace May, Riverside & Verl Marner, Kalona.
He was preced in death by his parents & three sisters, Elvira Yoder, Dona Stoltzfus & Darlene Stoltzfus.
