WHETSTINE, SKUBAL, HOSEK, ZAHS, KELL, DOHRMANN

Mrs. Marie A. WHETSTINE, 79 of route 1, Ainsworth, died Wednesday evening, February 2, 1983, at her residence in Haskins. Her death was unexpected.

The funeral was held Saturday at Jones Funeral Home in Washington with burial in Elm Grove Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established for the Rose Garden at Bentonsport,

Marie A. SKUBAL was born near Haskins, March 28, 1903, a daughter of Frank J. and Frances HOSEK SKUBAL. She attended Round Grove country school and was married at Cedar Rapids, January 8, 1924 to Edgar S. WHETSTINE. He died January 15, 1972.

Mrs. WHETSTINE was a life long resident of Washington County.

Survivors include one daughter Mrs. Dean (Elaine) ZAHS, of Ainsworth, four grandchildren: Michael ZAHS, Haskins, Donald ZAHS, Ainsworth, Mrs. Kathryn KEIL, Sabula, Mrs. Carolyn DOHRMANN, Dewitt, Ia. Also ten great grandchildren; two brothers John B. SKUBAL, and Percy SKUBAL, both of Ainsworth; and a sister-in-law Mrs. Elsie SKUBAL, Ainsworth. Three brothers, one sister, an infant son and her husband preceded her in death.
