Vella Leola Hotle, 94, of Washington, died May 2, 1993, at Brownlee Health Center. She was born Oct 21, 1898, in Washington, to Edwin Milton and Daisy Ann (Fishburn) Benson. On Jan 8, 1917, she married Howard Clark Hotle in Washington. Surviving are a son, Richard B. of Washington; a daughter, Audrey (Mrs. Roger) Lance of Washington; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include three sisters, Genevieve Manbeck of Des Moines, Gladys McGuire of St Petersburg, FL., and Norene Ellis of Indianola; and two brothers, Merle Benson of Newton and George of Des Moines. Precededing her death were her parents; her husband, Howard; one Brother Clarence; and her sisters, Beatrice Rommel and Betty Westerfield.
