Sam Baker, 91, died Monday evening, Jan 22, 1990, at his Washington home. Samuel Alvin Baker was born Oct 28, 1898, in Washington County, the son of Lewis and Laura (Jacobs) Baker. On Aug 28, 1918, he married Fern May in Washington. She died Nov 18, 1977. Survivors include three sons, Ernest of Bloomfield, Everette, Richland, Donald of Farson; three daughters, Bessie (Mrs. Warren) Schlatter, Wayland, Ruth (Ruth)Zieglowsky, Washington, and Juanita (Mrs. Harold)Dickinson, Birmingham; 18 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Oalda May, Washington. Besides his wife Fern, he was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and one brother.
