Mable A. Baker, 88, of Washington died Tuesday, July 2, 1985, at Washington Care Center. She was born Mar 31, 1897, in Washington County to William and Mary Wilkin Hotle. She was married to Howard Baker, Aug 26, 1915, at Washington. He preceded her in death in 1975. Survivors include her children, Lucille Ross, Helen Brown, Dorothy Black, and Clark Baker, all of Washington, and Lawrence of Richland, and Martha Brown of New London; 26 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Cecille Mayer, Lucille Fulton, and Alice Edgar of Washington, and Ethel Graf of Wellman; and a brother Daryl Hotle of Moline, IL. Besides her husband, a daughter, seven grandchildren, three brothers and a sister preceded her.
