Mrs. Alma Brown, 51, a former Fairfield resident and now a resident of Davenport, passed away in University hospital in Iowa City Sunday, Aug 27, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Sep 4, 1909 in Rome, Iowa, and was married to George E. Brown, Dec 21, 1941.
Survivors include her husband, one son, Dr. John Miller of Port Huron, Michigan, one grandson, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Icenogle, of Davenport.
Funeral services will be held today (Tuesday), Aug 29 at 1 PM CDT at the Hills and Fredericks mortuarty in Davenport with g raveside services and burial in Brighton Hillcrest cemetery at 2:30PM CDT.
Rev. Carlyle Smith of the Christian Church of Washington will officiate at the graveside services.
Mr. Brown is a nephew of C. F. Hoover of Brighton.
