Robert John RESCHLY, 76, of Washington died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2007 in the Washington Care Center following a decline in health for the past several months.

No funeral services are scheduled at this time. The body was donated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine. Interment will take place in the Sugar Creek Cemetery at a later date. The Jones-Eden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. RESCHLY was born Sept. 8, 1930 on his family's farm south of Wayland, the son of Joseph N. and Anna Christina (HUNT) RESCHLEY.

Mr. RESCHLEY graduated from Wayland High School in 1948. At age nine he moved with his family to Noble. Mr. RESCHLY also lived in Olds in his earlier years. He lived in Winfield from 1980 until 2000 when he returned to Washington. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the Navy. Mr. RESCHLY worked construciton all of his life.

Surviving are his children Annice JULIAN of Utah, Robert RESCHLY, R. of Bel Air, Md, and HEather AKINTOLA of Cedar Rapids, three grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Joanna RESCHLY and wife Helen of Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Joanna RESCHLY and Catherine FORT and two brothers, Richard RESCHLY and Don RESCHLY
