Terry L. CRAWFORD, age 55, of Wayland, Iowa formerly of Trout Creek, Montana died Thursday December 14, 2006 south of Washington from injuries received in a single vehicle accident.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 am Monday December 18, 2006 at the Jones - Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Rev. Richard Boyd officiating. Visitation will be held at the Jones – Eden Funeral Home from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday where the family will receive friends from 3:00 until 6:00 pm. Interment with Military Honors conducted by Washington American Legion Post 29 will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery. A general memorial fund has been established.

Terry was born December 14, 1951 in Washington, Iowa the son of Lyle James and Frances Elnora (AMLONG) CRAWFORD. He attended school in Washington. Terry was a Veteran of the Vietnam War where he served in the Army. Terry lived in Washington, Iowa until 1978 when he moved to Montana. In February of 2006 he moved back to Washington, Iowa.

While living in Washington Terry worked for Confinement Specialists, Pacemaker, and Perfix. He also worked for a lumber mill in Thompson Falls, MT for 18 years. Terry attended the First Christian Church in Washington, Iowa and the Baptist Mountain Church in Montana. He spent time every day reading the Bible and had a strong faith in God. He enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, horseback riding, and riding his motorcycle. He also spent many hours working in his shop and in his garage.

Terry is survived by his daughters, Anna EHRMAN and husband Dustin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Cora CRAWFORD and fiancé Keith of Missoula, Montana; Marshalltown, Iowa; seven siblings including, David CRAWFORD of Washington; Thea WALTON and husband Bob of Iowa City; Melvin CRAWFORD and wife Carolyn of Amana; Bonnie KROGMAN and husband Jim of Marengo; Connie BRINGER and husband Doug of Homestead; Corliss DONOVAN and husband Mike of Iowa City; and Lyla ERWIN and husband Don of Williamsburg. Terry is also survived by his stepbrother, Bill STACKHOUSE and wife Kathy of Marshalltown; stepsister, Diane Beardon of North Carolina; stepbrother, David Stackhouse of Marion; stepbrother, Chris Stackhouse and wife Lisa of Marshalltown; as well as 39 nieces and nephews, 19 great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle CRAWFORD in 1968; and one brother, Lyle George CRAWFORD in July of 2006.
