Malinda L. Wilson Brown
(October 19, 1835 – December 22, 1899)

Obituary
Malinda L. Wilson Brown was born in Jackson County, Ind., October 19th 1835. Was married to Isaac Brown Aug. 24th 1851. Two this union was born eight children, two daughters have departed from this life. She lived a good Christian life 42 years. She was a king loving wife and mother, her place can never be filled. We mourn her loss but not as those who have no hope. She was ready to go, but a great sufferer since July, was so patient to the very last. All who knew her loved her, for she always had a king word for all, so thoughtful of others. She and husband lived together over 48 years. Died Dec. 22nd 1899. She has gone from labor to reward, our loss is her eternal gain. She was taken to Atlantic, Ia., for burial. She leaves a husband and six children: T. W. and Clarence H. Brown of Atlantic, Ia., Mrs. B. B. Erwin, Hoyt, Kan., Mrs. Kerr, Winterset, Ia., Mrs. Wm. Denham, Masena, Iowa, and Mrs. A. H. Stewart, of this city, at whose home she died.
