Visitation will be held prior to services from noon to 2 p.m., at the church. Cremation will follow services.
William Lee Webb was born November 18th 1990 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was stubborn, determined and a fighter from the beginning. He was born three months early. Billy weighed 1lb 12oz and was 13 ½ inches long. Doctors gave us no hope. Billy proved them all wrong when he came home four and a half months later. Growing up he loved the outdoors. In the summer his hair would bleach out to almost white. His little body would be so tan it made his beautiful blue eyes seem even more blue. He loved boating and swimming at the Lake of the Ozarks. That meant water skiing and tubing behind Grandpa Harrold and Doji’s boat , as well as, Grandpa Lee and Grandma Cheri’s boat. He would travel with his Grandpa Kent and Grandma Jean on family trips. He loved working with Papa making cement statutes and painting them with Mum. He loved spending the night with Uncle Mike watching movies. He spent every chance he could with Doji doing anything and everything! He loved spending time with his many aunts and uncles and playing with every new cousin to come along. School was just not his thing. But loved hanging out with friends, playing soccer and entering talent shows and plays. As he got older, he pursued acting and modeling. He loved the jobs he got locally and decided to try Los Angeles. He was in some commercials and even played a thug in a Machine Gun Kelly music video. He had an eye for fashion. He was usually dressed to the nines, while we as his parents were more of a jeans and t-shirt type of couple. But politics was his passion. He started volunteering as soon as they would let him. Billy missed being able to vote in the 2008 election by 11 days. He was so mad! He was a Republican who could rationally speak to anyone no mater the subject or what they believed. He read and listened to all sides. He wanted to be knowledgeable about the subject of any conversation. He could and he did! Bob and I have had many visitors, phone calls and texts and we keep hearing: “What a great kid.” “Who are we going to go to know for political advice?” “I’m going to miss our conversations.”
Billy was so funny he could make you belly laugh. He was so smart about so many different subjects. He loved Trivia Night and animals. He loved watching NASCAR. He was always up for something new. He even joined the Elks club after meeting a fellow Iowan while visiting Mexico. He even performed Stand Up at a comedy club during an open mic night. I think what we’ll remember most about Billy is how he loved being with his family and friends and always up for a good time.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Jennifer (Webb) Ruble; grandparents, Deborah “DOJI” Annett, Jean Webb, Leland and Cheryl Ruble, Bill and Debi Roberts; aunts and uncles, Toby (Janice) Lawless, Tim (Brenda) Annett, Todd (Amy) Annett, Jason (Colleen) Webb, Jaimi Webb, Emily Annett, Michael Annett, Lisa Zimmerman, Eric Jones, Melissa Webb, Michael (Alison) Webb, Christy Ruble, Julie (Kraig) Daugherty, Kimber (Dan) Walsted, Melanie (Chad) Buchanan, Chrissy Greco, Charity (Kris) Klop; and numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Kent Webb and Harrold Annett, and uncle Michael Smith.
