Ada Bessie Fridley was born February 3rd, 1881, and was married to Handy Morgan on the seventeenth day of May, 1902. To this union was born two children, Velma, aged twelve years, and Ray, age five years.
Mrs. Morgan was converted to Christ in the winter of 1912 under the preaching of Rev. A. C. Thomas and united with the Christian Union at Hammondsburg. She has been a faithful and constant member of the church and attended services when her health would permit. She told the pastor and friends that she was ready and willing to go, that she was right with God.
She passed away December 11, 1918 at eleven o'clock p. m. and leaves to mourn her loss, a husband, two children, mother, one sister, Ida Long, of Milo; four brothers, Clyde Fridley, of Cool; Fred and Elmer, of Milo, and James, of Artesian, S. D. The deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Fridley. Her father and one sister having preceded her to the better world some years ago.
Funeral services for Mrs. Morgan was conducted by Rev. A. C. Thomas, pastor of the Milo C. U. church, on Friday December 13th, 1918, at her late residence, one mile north and one mile west of Milo. Mrs. Mattie Gonde and Mrs. Maude Motherhead sang, with Mrs. Myrtle Fair playing the piano, the music was both comforting and inspiring. The body was laid to rest in Hammondsburg cemetery, there to await that glad morning when Jesus will come to claim His own, and the dead shall hear His voice and come forth to meet Him. The entire community join in extending heartfelt sympathy to the husband and children and sorrowing family.
