Henry Chambers Dies In Hospital
Henry Chambers, 71, died late Saturday morning at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, where he had been a patient only one day. He had been living at Gray’s Nursing Home. Services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Overton Funeral Home. Interment was at the Sandyville Cemetery, Although born in Marion County, he had lived in Warren County most of his life. He was a veteran of World War I. Mr. Chambers is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Vance Welshhons of Indianola; a son, Arlen Chambers of Des Moines, three sisters, Mrs. Sadie Hill of Indianola, Mrs. Edna Porter of Hartford and Mrs. Marco Chenet of Harvey; three brothers, Fred and Glenn Chambers of Des Moines, and Dewey Chambers of Davenport.
