Former Resident Dies Following Crash in Illinois
Funeral services for Mrs. Earl Cooper, 25, of East Moline, Ill., were held Feb 8 at the Southern Mission Baptist Church, Green Rock, Ill.. Burial was at Greenview Memorial Gardens in East Moline. Mrs. Cooper died Feb. 4 in the Moline Public Hospital of injuries received in a two-car collision in Moline Feb. 2. Also injured in the accident were Mr. Cooper, and their small daughter, Brenda Sue, whose condition remains critical. Mrs. Cooper is the former Marie Kirkpatrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Kirkpatrick of Sandyville. She attended grade school at Sandyville and graduated from Indianola High School in 1953. She was married to Earl Cooper in 1955 and they resided in Sandyville until moving to East Moline in 1957. Besides her husband, daughter, and parents, she is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Audrey Hunerdosse, Indianola; Mrs. Barbara Cooper, East Moline; Kathryn and Linda, Sandyville; two brothers, Marvin, East Moline, and Lester, Sandyville; and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Enyart, Prairie City.
