Obituaries – Reid
Carla Lynn Reid, daughter of Sgt. and Mrs. Robert Reid, departed this life Jan. 4, 1962, at the Everux Fauville Airbase in France after an illness of two weeks. She was 11 months and 13 days old. Sgt. Reid is stationed at the air base in France. Carla Lynn is survived by her parents, five brothers, Robert, Lewis, Russell, Mark and Vernon, her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Edna J. Willis, her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lavonne Reid, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives. And Jesus said, “Permit the little children to come unto Me for such is the Kingdom of God” “And He took them up in His arms, put His hands upon them and blessed them.” Services were held at the Miley Chapel Jan. 20, 1962. Pastor John Bauserman was the officiating minister. Burial was in Newbern Cemetery.
