Obituary – Minnie Belle Medearis
Minnie Belle Medearis, daughter of Martin and Isabelle Medearis was born in Worth County, Mo., June 29, 1881 and departed this life at her home in Williamson, Jan. 8, 1954, at the age of 72 years, six months and 21 days. She was united in marriage to Arthur Medearis Nov. 22, 1900 at Princeton, Ill., and to this union five sons were born, one having died in infancy. She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Arthur Medearis, her son, Alfred Medearis of Lacona, Harvey and Raymond of Williamson and Eugene of Huxley. Also, two brothers, L. Z. Medearis of Rockford, Ill., and Emery Medearis of Lacona. Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12 at the Beardsley Funeral Home with the Rev. A. E. Beals officiating. Burial was in the Newbern Cemetery.
