Obituaries – Emory M. Medearis
Emory Martin Medearis, son of Martin and Isabelle Medearis, was born in Worth County, Mo., Feb. 10, 1878, and departed this life at Memorial Hospital in Chariton, June 15, 1962. He came to Iowa from Illinois in the early 1900s. He engaged in farming in the Newbern community and the last eight years was spent in nursing homes in Chariton. Besides his parents, five brothers and three sisters preceded him in death. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. He professed a faith and trust in Christ. Funeral services were held Monday, June 18, at 2:30 p.m., at the Beardsley-Fielding Funeral Home. The Rev. John Bauserman officiated and interment was at the Newbern Cemetery.
