Eura W. McPherson
(May 4, 1896 – August 29, 1925)

Eura Wolcott McPherson, daughter of O. B. and Kezziah Wolcott was born near Milo, May 4, 1896, and died at Indianola, August 29, 1925, aged 29 years, three months and 25 days. She was united in marriage to Walter McPherson, September 15, 1919. To this union were born two sons, Albert Andrew and Donald Francis. She leaves to mourn her going, besides the husband and sons, three brothers, Francis and Robert of Milo and Charley of Osceola. Three years of their married life were spent in Canada but on account of failing health they returned to Iowa. For the past seven months she has been confined to her bed. She was a patient sufferer and had a smile for all. She joined the Christian Union church at the age of 11 years. Although always hopeful of recovering, she expressed herself as willing to abide by God’s will. Being left without a mother at the age of four, she hoped to be spared for the sake of her two boys. She finished high school at Milo and took the Normal Training course at Indianola and taught school two years. Funeral service was held on Monday morning at the Presbyterian church at Indianola, conducted by Rev. Sampson Cocks.

McPherson’s father is A. M. McPherson and mother is Anna B. Noble, while Eura Wolcott’s father is O. B. Wolcott and mother is Kezziah Sargent.]
