Services For Mrs. Jno. Calhoun Held Thursday
Services for Mrs. John Calhoun, 89, who died Tuesday, July 23, were held Thursday at 2:30 at the Orr Funeral Home. The Rev. W. T. Martin, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, was in charge. With the exception of two years, Mrs. Calhoun had been a resident of Indianola all of her life. She was born in Bloomington, Ind., but came to Iowa with her parents in 1858. She was married to John M. Calhoun Sept. 25, 1876. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Joseph Calhoun, at one time pastor of the United Presbyterian church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Estella VanPelt and Carrie Calhoun, both living at home, and one sister, Mrs. Fanchon Clark McClure of Mt. Pleasant.
