Henry Charles Scott
(August 15, 1905 – April 10, 1946)

Henry Charles Scott, son of Tom and Cora Bailey Scott, was born Aug. 15, 1905, and died suddenly at his home in Des Moines, April 10, 1946, at the age of 40 years, 7 months and 25 days. He was born on the old Scott farm northwest of Milo and spent his lifetime in and around Milo until he moved with his family to Des Moines about three years ago. He graduated from the Milo High School in 1923. He was united in marriage to Helen Jordan of Milo Jan. 19, 1929, and to this union were born two children, Louise and Thomas Roy. Thomas Roy died in infancy. Mr. Scott had been in failing health for six years. Surviving are his wife; daughter; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Scott; other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were at the Fielding Funeral Home in Milo Friday, April 12, at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Harold N. Olson. The music was by Mrs. Lora Davey and Mrs. Eileen Oldaker, with Mrs. Doris Kimzey as pianist. Pallbearers were Lloyd Walton, Dale Young, Vitus Ripperger, Simon Knouse, Harry Breuklander and Gerald Ripperger. Interment was in the Milo I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
