(March 27, 1868 – December 25, 1944)

LuElla, daughter of Ellen and Monroe Graham, was born March 27, 1868, on a farm in Warren County, Iowa, and died Dec. 25, 1944, at the age of 76 years, 9 months, 18 days. She was next to the eldest of a family of seven children, all having preceded her in death except Mrs. Harvey Haworth of Liberty Center, Ia. She united with the U. P. church during early womanhood. On Jan 14, 1891, she was united in marriage to A. I. Kaufman. To this union were born two sons, David Monroe, who died Nov 23, 1913, and Frank of Milo, Ia. Since her husband’s death in 1934, she continued living in Indianola which had been their home for many years. She leaves to mourn her loss, one son, Frank; two grandchildren, John A. Kaufman, who is in the U.S. Army in Washington and Karma May of Milo; one great grandson, Frank A. Kaufman; one sister; several nephews and nieces; and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Dec 27, at 3 p.m. in the Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Walter T. Martin was in charge of the services. Mrs. Martin sang.
