Mrs. Thompson, 79, Dies at Home of Daughter Friday
Had Been Living in Duluth, Minn., for Years. Funeral Rites are Held Monday p.m.
Mrs. Eleanor S. Thompson who has been living at Duluth, Minn., died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. S. McKee, Friday, Jan 26, after a long illness. Mrs. Thompson and her three daughters lived in Indianola for several years. In 1924 she and her daughter, Miss Helen Thompson, moved to Duluth. Surviving are the three daughters, Mrs. E. H. Crabbe of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mrs. McKee and Miss Thompson. Funeral rites were held Monday, Jan 29, at 2 p.m. at the Orr Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. William Ecklor of Duluth assisted by the Rev. J. W. Oosterhoff of Scotch Ridge, was in charge of the services. Her husband, Elmer E. Thompson, died in 1902. They were married at Lacona June 13, 1888. Mr. Thompson was employed in the office of Eikenbeery & Co. lumber dealers, who at the time had a branch yard in Indianola.
