Richard LeRoy Hunt
(May 13, 1934 - January 7, 2019)

Richard LeRoy Hunt, 84, of Carlisle, passed away January 7, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial funeral services for Richard will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A memorial visitation will be from 5-7:00 pm. Friday, January 11, 2019 with a Masonic Service to start at 7:00 pm, at the Family Life Center in Carlisle. Burial of ashes with military honors will take place following services on Saturday in the Carlisle Cemetery.
Richard Leroy Hunt was born on May 13, 1934, son of Oscar and Cecil (Ballard) Hunt. Richard graduated high school in Carlisle Iowa, graduating with the class of 1952. Richard owned and operated Hunt's Standard Station for many years.
Richard is Survived by: wife Barbara (Furnal) Hunt, his children Kim (Larry) Hall, Gay (Tim) Ellis, Scott (Cheryl) Hunt. Grandchildren: Jamie (Jason) Gulley, Joshua (Jen) Ellis, Colin Hall, Joel Ellis, Jonathan (Lindsey) Ellis, Trenton Hunt, Skyler Hunt, and four great grandchildren. Memorials may be directed to Carlisle Athletics.
