Martin Charles Ray
(February 18, 1943 - January 12, 2019)

Martin Charles Ray passed away on Saturday, January 12, 2019 in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Community United Presbyterian Church of Hartford. Military honors will follow services at the Church. Martin was born on February 18, 1943 in Des Moines, Iowa to Marion and Polly(Miller)Ray. After graduating high school Martin served in the army guard and the air guard for 6 years. Martin was an electrician and a member of the Local IBEW #347. He loved being on the lake, fishing, motorcycles, old cars and good food.
Martin is survived by his wife Janet Ray, daughter Paula (Jeff) Menke; step daughter Liz Anne(Jim) Eggers; step son, Jack(Brooke)Futrelle; grandsons, Lucas, Joe, Johnny and Charlie; granddaughters, Annabeth, Elyse and Adeline.
