Theodore Daniel Reeves
(August 12, 1948 - June 22, 2019)

Dan Reeves, age 70, of Hartford, Iowa, passed away suddenly, and tragically on June 22, 2019.
Dan was born on August 12, 1948, in Chariton, Iowa, to John (Jack) and Dorothy Reeves and spent his youth growing up in Milo, Iowa. Dan retired as a press operator for Artcraft Incorporated in Des Moines after nearly 25 years in the printing business. He was a master at his craft and was the go to guy for the most demanding jobs that required a high quality final product.
Dan loved to fish from the first time he cast his line into the water as a youngster at farm ponds and lakes throughout central Iowa. To hear him tell those fishing stories, the big one never got away. The biggest catch of his life however was not a large mouth bass or catfish, but the love of his life Dora.
Dan proudly served in the US Army and endured one tour of duty in Vietnam from 1969-1970 with the 155th Assault Helicopter Company. He was a member of the Milo American Legion Post 263.
Dan is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dora, children Ted (Annette) Reeves of Ackworth, Iowa, Melissa (Walt) Davis of Branson West, Missouri, Step-children Randell Zimmerman, Adam (Jennie) Zimmerman of Hartford, Iowa, and Brandy Combs of Des Moines. Also surviving are a sister Martha (Bob) Pfaff of Rosemount, Minnesota, and a brother, Jim (Carol) Reeves of Knoxville, Iowa, and 18 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Dorothy Reeves, young son Randy, step son Andrew Cleveland, brother John Bernard Reeves, Sisters
Phyllis Stephenson and Mary VanSyoc and son-in-law Pat Combs.
Memorial services to be held on Friday, June 28, 2019, at 06:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church, 2708 N. Jefferson, Indianola, Iowa.
