(November 22, 1904 – February 18, 1941)

Obituary
Katie Ellen Turner was born near Lacona, Iowa, Nov. 22, 1904, and passed away February 18th, 1941, at Woodward, Iowa, at the age of 36 years, 2 months and 27 days. Katie, as she was known to the community, although afflicted most of her life, won many friends by her cheerful and friendly disposition, and was always glad to have her friends and neighbors call and visit with her. She was very tenderly cared for by her father and mother until their death. The father died July 28, 1924, and the mother on March 9th, 1933. Since the death of her mother she had been a patient at the Woodward hospital. Through all of her affliction she was patient and cheerful. She leaves to mourn their loss three brothers, Paul of Knoxville, Iowa; Lee and Roy of near Lacona; three nephews, and nieces, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends. The funeral was held last Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock at the Lee Turner home. Services were conducted by Rev. Robinson of Knoxville.
