Harriet Beverly Barger, daughter of Kenneth and Bertene Barger, was born Feb 6, 1928, at Ft. Wayne, Ind. After an illness of one month she departed this life, Feb 9, 1939, at her home near Liberty Center, at the age of 11 years and 3 days. At the age of one month she came with her parents to Liberty Center, Ia. and lived the rest of her life around this neighborhood. She was a cheerful affectionate little girl, and had a deep faith in Jesus and his commandments. She attended Norwood Consolidated school. She is survived by her father and mother; one brother, Gary Brent; her Grandfather and Grandmother Barger of near Liberty Center; Grandfather and Grandmother Fetters of Indianola; two great-grandfathers, J. S. Wilbur and Frank Fetters of Milo, and many other relatives and a host of friends. Services were conducted by Elder A. J. Gordon of Des Moines at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon. Gone from this world of sorrow, gone from those she loved – gone to wait for Jesus and that beautiful home above. In the morn of the Resurrection, when captives are set free, and loved ones are re-united, we with our darling would be.
Card of Thanks – We wish to thank the neighbors and friends for their kindness during the illness and at the time of the death of our beloved daughter, also for the beautiful floral offerings. – Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Barger and Gary Brent
