Millon James Green
(April 30, 1869 – October 23, 1938)

Milon Green Buried In Clarke County
Millon James Green, son of John and Rowanna Green, was born in Scott County, Iowa, April 30, 1869, and departed this life Oct. 23, 1938, at the age of 69 years, 5 months and 23 days. He grew to manhood in Guthrie County, Iowa, and was united in marriage to Miss Myrtle Simmerman of Indianola, Dec. 20, 1905. To this union five children were born, one son, John Lincoln, having died in his infancy. He leaves to mourn their loss his wife and four sons: Carl of Boone, IA., Andrew of this city, Elmer of Des Moines, and Rex, who is still at home. He leaves three grandchildren: Herman, and Betty Green of Boone, and Delores of Indianola, also a host of other relatives and friends. Millon was a kind and loving husband and father and was like by all who knew him. Funeral services were held at the Overton Funeral Home Tuesday afternoon at two o’clock, conducted by the Rev. N. D. Gordon of Indianola. Burial was in the cemetery at the Bethel Chapel Cemetery in Clarke County.
