Lucia Julia Morrow
(July 15, 1942 - August 25, 2019)

Mrs. Lucia Morrow of Valparaiso, Chile was born on July 15th, 1942 & passed away at 77 years of age on August 25th, 2019 in her Des Moines, Iowa home; following suit of her late husband. She was named after Saint Lucia Hill in Santiago, Chile; her father's favorite place; & was the youngest of 11 siblings. She moved to the United States in 1958. She was a hard working single mother of three strong willed daughters when she met her husband William Morrow. They added to the family & had a son. And in 1982 she went to community college & earned her US Citizenship. Lucia is preceded in death by her husband, William Morrow; daughter, Susie Morrow; parents Sarah & Julio Mercado; & much more family. Lucia is survived by her daughters, Donna Romero & Lucy (Zach) Hines; son Jason (Rhonda) Morrow; grandchildren Tammy (Shane) Davidson, Clint Waterbeck, Matthew Watterbeck, Sarah Mae Romero, Thomas Romero, Johnny Romero, Nicole (David) Mussleman, Teresa Spading (Steve), Rod Mundy, Monica (Matt) Hines, Brianna Hines, Samantha Morrow (Britt), Jordan Morrow (Beth), Heather (Aaron) Rawlins, Kendra Brockman; & 11 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her much loved cats, Mimi & Bozo. Lucia had a passion for cooking & gardening. She gave unconditional love to all her family, those memories will never fade. Family & friends may pay their respects at the celebration of life for Lucia Morrow on Friday, August 30th at 2pm. This event will be held at New Life Fellowship, 2409 SE 6th St, Des Moines, IA 50315.
