Gregory Blake Tilton passed away peacefully in Altoona, Iowa on October 8, 2019. A viewing for Greg will be held from 4-6pm on Monday, October 14, 2019 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle.
Greg was born December 1, 1947 in Des Moines, Iowa to William and Eileen Tilton. Greg married Mary Stewart March 9, 1968. That stayed married for over 50 years. He worked as a mechanic for many years. Greg was a man who loved his family dearly. He loved being around them no matter what they were doing. He loved camping and barbequing. Greg would give his last dollar if someone was in need.
Greg is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Gregory Jr. (Mitizie), Renie, Troy (Stephanie), and Michael Dean; siblings, Phillip Tilton, Kim Dowd, Barbara Wessel, Cindy Dowd, Barbara Teer, and Linda Woods; two grandchildren and one step-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Gerald and George.
