David Sean Hedlund

David Sean Hedlund, 54, of Humeston, Iowa passed away Monday, October 28, 2019 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. A celebration of life will be held at the Peterson Funeral Home at 602 E. Salem Avenue in Indianola, Iowa from 11:00am-2:00pm on Saturday, November 2, 2019. The family requests no flowers.
David was born August 15, 1965 to Larry and Loretta (Charlet) Hedlund. David was a big man with an even bigger heart. He was loved by many, and would go out of his way to help others. David would always speak his mind and wouldn't back down from anyone. He spent much of his adult life as a truck driver, driving over the road with his dad and brother Gary. Later, along with James and Stacie, he founded Poor Boys Metal Recycling so he could be closer to home. He spent the last ten years raising Kaelyn and Harley at home in Humeston, and loved every minute of it. He will be truly missed.
David was the son of Larry Hedlund and Loretta Charlet, brother of Jeff Hedlund and Gary Hedlund, loving father of Sara Hedlund, James Hedlund, Kaelyn Hedlund, and Harley Hedlund. He was dearly loved by his fiancée Stacie Bloxham, and grandchildren; Aden, Kassidee, Kale, Zoe, Alivia, and Zephaniah. He was honored to be the uncle of Jessica Hedlund and a very extensive family. He was preceded in death by his mother, his son David James Hedlund and daughter Samantha Lynn Hedlund.
