Billie Gay Hearshman
(August 14, 1948 - January 11, 2020)

Billie Gay Hearshman, 71, of Carlisle, passed away January 11, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Billie was born August 14, 1948 in Newton, Iowa to Hallie Verlin Carter, and Lois (Long) Carter. She will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery in Newton, Iowa. There are no services planned at this time.
Growing up, Billie enjoyed spending time with her brothers, and she especially loved riding horses. She graduated from Monroe High School. Shortly after school, Billie went to work for Firestone where she was an accounts clerk for 38 years until her retirement in 2010. She enjoyed new recipes, birdwatching, riding horses, and watching her son Cameron race.
Billie is survived by her son Cameron (Rachael) Hearshman of Hartford, granddaughters, Sophia and Kylie. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Blake and Donnie Carter.
