Maxine Ardell Bonney

Maxine A. Coulter was born on June 8, 1920, to Herschel and Nellie (Nicholson) Coulter at New Virginia, Iowa, where she also attended New Virginia Schools. On August 18, 1943, she was united in marriage to Orville G. Bonney at Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They lived in Cedar Rapids until 1945 when they moved to Eagle Grove in 1957. Her husband died on January 7, 1966. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Eagle Grove.

Maxine A. Bonney died Saturday, January 11, 1997, at the Rotary Ann Nursing Home in Eagle Grove at the age of 76.

Survivors include two daughters, Sheryl Stearns and her husband Gregg, Eagle Grove, and Linda Christian and her husband, Ronald, Aurora, Illinois; a son, James Bonney and his wife, Woncha, Des Moines; six grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Edwin Coulter, Des Moines; and three sisters, Florence Dittmer and her husband, Marcus, Marshalltown, Zelda McDonald and her husband, Francis, Des Moines, and Ina Stuart and her husband, Willis, Bullhead City, Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday (today) January 15, 1997, at 10:30 a.m. at the Willim Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with the Reverend William Ballard officiating. Burial will be in the New Virginia Cemetery at New Virginia, Iowa.

Willim Funeral Home, Eagle Grove, was in charge of arrangements.
