Mrs. Oral A. Thorn Buried on Sunday
Reta Maud Hasting, daughter of Robert E. and Della Hasting, was born Aug. 1, 1903, near Medora, Iowa, and continued to reside in Warren county until the time of her death at her home near Indianola, Jan. 22, 1937, at the age of 33 years, five months and 22 days. In February, 1921, she was united in marriage to Oral A. Thorn, and to this union were born four daughters: Stella Irene, 15; Della Wanda, 12; Mildred Bertine, 11, and Mary Lou, 9, all at home. Mrs, Thorn was converted to the Christian life at the early age of 15 and remained in Christ's services until her death. She was a Christian wife and mother in her home, to her husband and daughters, and her loving hands have been felt in many homes of the neighborhood where she lived.
She leaves to mourn their loss her mother, Mrs. Della Hasting, of Medora; two brothers, Harold of Liberty Center, and Earl of Indianola; two sister, Mrs. Ila Chumbley, New Virginia, and Maxine, of Indianola, and many other relative,. and friends. Rev. Allen, of Indianola, conduct ed the funeral services, which were held at the Pleasant Hill church Sunday, Jan. 24, at 2 o'clock. Interment was made at Indian Valley cemetery.
