Sylvanus Hall
(December 21, 1860 – January 14, 1917)

Salvanus Hall was born in Warren County, Iowa, December 21, 1860 and died at his home in Liberty Center, Sunday, January 14, 1917, age 56 years and 23 days. He was united in marriage to Ella Williams, August 9, 1888. To this union were born five children, all of whom are living, they are as follows: Eva Gubser of Earlham, Dow Nicholson of Dubuque, Nettie Bumgarner, Walter and Martin of this place.
Besides the children he leaves to mourn his loss, one brother, William Hall of Liberty Center, and two grandchildren, Charles and Margaret Bumgarner and a host of friends. His health had been failing for the past eighteen months, but he endured with great patience his affliction but at last fell peacefully asleep. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Butterfield of Indianola, Iowa.
