Services for Nancy Ferne Smith, 83, of Ramsey Memorial Home, 1611 Twenty-seventh St. will be 1:30 p.m.. Tuesday at Carlisle Christian Church in Carlisle. Burial will be in Carlisle Cemetery. Miss Smith died of a heart ailment Saturday at Des Moines General Hospital. She was born in the Carlisle area and lived there most of her life. She also lived in Des Moines and Hastings, Neb. She was a retired elementary school teacher. Miss Smith was a graduate of Drake University, a member of Carlisle Christian Church, Rhodema Rebekah Lodge and the Indianola Chapter of the Business and Professional Women's Club. Survivors include two sister's, Mildred DeCook of Eldora, and Ruby Wilkinson of Des Moines. Richardson Funeral Home in Carlisle is in change of arrangements.
