Ida May Peasley
(September 5, 1866 – February 10, 1923)

Indianola, Iowa, February 1923
Ida May Day, daughter of Elmus and Susan Kelley Day was born September 5, 1866, near Sweetland Center, Muscatine County, Iowa and departed this life at her home February 10, 1923, aged fifty-six years, five months and five days. On October 24, 1889 she was united in marriage to Oliver H. Peasley at Sweetland Center, Iowa. To this union were born four children, Harold R. and Hazel E. of Des Moines, James Alfred of Center Chapel and Elmus Day who is a student at Iowa City. Besides her husband and four children she leaves to mourn her loss three sisters: Mrs. L. M. Mann, of Des Moines; Mrs. Hannah Gardner of Nineveh, Pennsylvania, and Mrs. A. M. Carmichael of San Antonio, Texas, and one brother, J. W. Day of Des Moines, two brothers, George L. Day and Samuel Day having preceded her. In 1892 she united with the First Presbyterian church of Marshalltown, and later transferred her membership to Center Chapel Methodist Episcopal church [Indianola, Iowa].
