Carol was preceded in death by her father, Rex Glasgow, her mother, Louise Spence, her step father, Allen Spence, her sister Cheryl Glasgow and her brother Bill Glasgow.
Carol was a lifelong resident of Indianola. She married Robert "David" Dale, June 30, 1967. From this marriage came two of Carol's greatest joys in her life, her daughters Kim and Tina. This joy was multiplied by her grandchildren. She loved to dote on her granddaughters Jessica and Macy and watch Star Wars with her grandsons, Nikolas, Danny, and Simon. She filled them full of cookies and cake, she made them many treats and played games with them. Her playful spirit was evident when she was with her grandchildren.
Carol enjoyed cooking. Many times, it looked like she had cooked for an army! She loved growing plants, wearing turquoise jewelry, Native American culture, fashion, writing and popular music. She had 2 dogs, Ruby and Dudley who gave her many happy memories. She loved traveling to the mountains of Colorado and the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico with her husband and children. She found great enjoyment in hunting for pretty shells along the beach. She had a love for all things pretty, flashy and sparkly.
Carol had the spirit of a servant and care taker. Many times, she sat quietly at the bed side of an ill loved one and just offered a comforting presence.
Carol will be greatly missed by all of those left behind but we rejoice in knowing she is with her Savior. This memorial is provided by Overton Funeral Home, 501 West Ashland Ave., Indianola, Iowa, http://www.overtonfuneral.com/
