(April 23, 1949 - August 26, 2017)

Vickie Lee Preston passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Taylor House in Des Moines. A visitation will be from 11:00-noon, Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Funeral services for Vickie will be held at 12:00 pm. Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Peterson Funeral Home. Interment will follow services in the Avon Cemetery. Vickie was born on April 23, 1949 in Marshall, Minnesota to Gaylin and Veda Smith. Vickie graduated high school and worked for Walmart as well as an in home health care worker.
Vickie enjoyed going to flea markets and loved her cats.
Vickie is survived by her husband John Preston of Carlisle; adopted daughter, Samantha Terrell of Elkhart; aunt, Eva Zakis; and three cousins, Sandy, Cheryl and Bonnie. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents and a Daughter, Mary Ann.
