Jim was an avid sportsman. He was trap chair at the Warren County Izaak Walton League. He shot trap competitively and had recently taken up long range rifle target shooting. He mentored many high school and college age youth involved in trap shooting. Jim was always passionate about whatever sport he took on. Prior to trap he enjoyed target pistol shooting, body building, golf, water skiing, fishing and hunting. Whatever Jim’s interest, he was “all in” and spent every possible moment and resource pursuing that interest.

Visitation will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 18 at Norwalk Christian Church where family will be present to greet friends. Memorial gifts may be given to the Warren County Izaak Walton League to establish a scholarship for youth interested in shooting trap at the collegiate level or to Mercy Hospice in Johnston, IA.
