DIED – Wm. M. Whitney, aged 88 years at the residence of his son, Geo. L. Whitney, three miles northeast of town, on the 6th inst. He had been walking around and had just laid down, when he expired without a struggle. He was an old and respected citizen, having been a soldier in the war of 1812.
