The body of Pvt. Everett Powers, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Powers and one of Warren County’s first heroes to fall in the great war, arrived here Saturday morning, accompanied by Pvt. Alfred Lacombe. The body was conveyed to the American Legion hall, where it will be kept, awaiting the arrival of the body of Pvt. Donald Killen, who is expected within the next few days, and in all probability, both funeral services will be held together.

The body of Don Killen, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Killen, and another one of Warren County’s heroes in the Great War, arrived here Saturday morning, and was conveyed from the depot to the American Legion hall, where it will remain with the exception of Tuesday night when it will be taken to the home of his parents. On Wednesday after, leaving the Legion hall at 2:30 p.m., military services will be held at the Carlisle Cemetery, Chaplain Robb of Des Moines officiating. Don was a member of the 168th Rainbow Division, Company A, and while in active service was wounded September 22, 1918 and died September 23.
