(December 21, 1920 - June 11, 2015)

Erna R. Pentico passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Carlisle Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle, with burial to follow in the Avon Cemetery. A visitation with Erna's family will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Peterson Funeral Home. Erna was born on December 21, 1920 in Manson, Iowa to Ray and Emma (Ahlund) Brindle. Erna graduated from North High School in Des Moines , worked as a secretary for Diamond Labs and retired as a secretary for Mid-American Energy in 1985. Erna is survived by her 2 children, Cheri Betzer and Richard Pentico both of Carlisle; grandchildren, Richard J. Pentico, Kyle Flatt, Amy Hicks, Terry Bunce and Patti Darter; 16 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren. Erna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Russell, a grandson and her 2 siblings.
