Kimberly Kay Reece
(September 1, 1973 - November 7, 2015)

Kimberly Kay Reece, 42, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2015 at her residence. Family and friends are invited to attend Services, 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2015 at Peterson Funeral Home, 415 School St., Carlisle,, Iowa. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, Iowa.
Kimberly was born September 1, 1973 in Des Moines, IA, daughter of Carlene Reece of Summerville and the late Larry D. Reece. She grew up in Carlisle, IA and graduated from Iowa Braille & Sight Saving School. After graduation she worked at WLOC Workshop until moving to South Carolina with her parents. Kim was an avid braille reader and enjoyed listening to country music.
Survivors, including her mother Carlene, are one brother: Vincent Van Houten of Summerville, one niece and one nephew: Dana Van Houten and Nick Van Houten both of Summerville and their mother Sarah Williams; three uncles and two aunts: Kurt Reinert (Connie) of Marshalltown, IA, Kent Reinert (Tracy) of Union, IA, Steven Reece of Union, IA, Valerie Lubbert (Larry) of Marshalltown, IA and Dolores Taylor of Montgomery, IL. She was predeceased by her father: Larry D. Reece, grandmother: Cherie Smith and grandparents: Wallace and Irene Reinert.
