Richard James "Rick" Barnes, age 53, was found deceased April 24, 2016 at home. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Maggie and Noel Katter, and brother and sister-in-law, Rusty and Kristy Barnes. Visitation with friends and family will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday April 29, 2016 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Lighthouse Community Church at 7705 Indianola Rd. Des Moines. Interment with Military Rites by the U.S Marines and Carlisle V.F.W. will be in Carlisle City Cemetery.
