Max Wayne Jackson
(March 19, 1960 - August 8, 2016)

Max Wayne Jackson passed away on August 8, 2016. Funeral services for Max will be held at 12:00 pm., Monday, August 15, 2016 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Burial with military honors will be at 2:00 pm, Monday, August 15 at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery in Van Meter. Max was born on March 19, 1960 to Kenneth and Shirley Rhodes Jackson in Des Moines, Iowa. Max graduated from Carlisle High School and joined the United States Army. After leaving the army Max worked for Fire Stone and was a member of the United Steel Workers Union Local 310. Max Jackson was the type of person who knew no stranger. He loved spending time with his friends, family, his chickens, and neighbors. He enjoyed landscaping, kayaking, and taking the grandkids to fun places and 4-wheeler rides.
Max is survived by his wife, Angela of Ackworth; son, Kenneth(Kristin)Jackson of Knoxville; daughter, Heather Wooten of Arkansas; brother, Chris Jackson of Des Moines; sister, Melissa Jackson of Ankeny; grandchildren, Jasmine and Tyler Peacock and Kyson and Kase Jackson, Isiah Cross and Zachery and Damian Shurley. Max was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter Jennifer Peacock.
