(March 4, 1927 - September 14, 2016)

Mrs. Gay Leverich of Carlisle, age 89, passed away September 14, 2016 at Sunny View Care Center in Ankeny. Gay had been employed as a secretary for the Iowa State Legislature for over 30 years. Surviving is her son, Gregg and his wife Mary Leverich of Ankeny; grandchildren, Whitney(James) Peitzman, Jake Leverich, Sue Herrick, Mark Herrick and Andrea Poirier. Gay was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert and a daughter, Gilda. Funeral services for Gay will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle, Iowa. Family and friends visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Pine Hill Cemetery in Des Moines.
