Virginia Mae Kail
(April 5, 1923 - October 21, 2016)

On Friday October 21st, 2016 Virginia "Ginny" Kail was called to the Lord surrounded by her loving family. Virginia was born April 5, 1923 to Frank and Leona Secor in Cedar Falls, Iowa. She was the oldest of 6 brothers and 3 sisters. During her lifetime she was very proud to be with many friends especially in Carlisle where she lived her final 25 + years with her husband Bill. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, and gardening. She was also an avid bowler and all around sports fan, but especially a Chicago Cub Diehard Fan. She relished her relationships through marriage and had great love and passion for her grand children and great grand children.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill Kail, son Jim Hultman, all her brothers and 2 sisters, and step daughter Jeani Smith.
She is survived by her son Fred (Cheryl) Young of Winterset, IA; daughter Debbie (Ed) Schiller of Norwalk, IA; stepdaughter Jerrie (Ray) Pike-Kass of Christiansburg, VA; son in law John Smith of Omaha, NE.;Betty (Chuck) Kuepker of Cedar Falls, IA., and many grand children, great grand children, nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Virginia will be from 5:00-7:00 PM Monday, October 24, 2016 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Carlisle. Burial will follow in the Carlisle Township Cemetery.
