Cecil Robert Fitzgerald passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Westview Care Center in Indianola. A memorial funeral service will be held for Cecil at 3:00 PM. Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle. A visitation will begin at 1:00 PM prior to services.
Cecil was born on December 15, 1926 in Mount Morris, Illinois to Eli and Hazel Fitzgerald. Cecil worked for the Rock Island Railroad Company. Cecil is survived by his wife Catherine of Indianola; children, Robert(Lori)Fitzgerald, Raymond(Kathy Jo)Fitzgerald, Ricki(Donna)Fitzgerald, Robin(Vance)Fitzgerald Marlow, Renee Fitzgerald, Roger (Sharon) Fitzgerald, Rhonda(Brian)Fitzgerald Clark and Rex(Tammy)Fitzgerald; twin sister, Cecilia Fredregill and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, Eli and Hazel; and his 4 brothers, Lawrence, Earnest, Norman and Mac Leroy Fitzgerald.
